I’m Matthews Smith, and I’ve been in the real estate industry since 2002, starting as an affiliate broker. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in various aspects of real estate, and in 2019, I became a licensed Broker. With designations like Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE) and e-Pro, I combine market knowledge, technology, and marketing to best serve my clients. In 2018, I took on the role of General Manager at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Dean-Smith Realty. Since then, I’ve worked closely with our team to ensure the firm’s daily success and strategic growth. My leadership role also extends to Heritage Property Advisors, where my team and I are dedicated to helping clients achieve their real estate goals, whether selling a home or finding the perfect place to buy.

My Connection to the Community
Knoxville is not just where I work—it’s home. I was born and raised here, and my roots in the Rocky Hill community run deep. My wife and I are raising our three boys here, and family life is busy and fulfilling. Outside of real estate, I spend a lot of time volunteering with youth sports teams, supporting my boys’ activities, and giving back to the community that has given me so much.
When I’m not working or cheering on the sidelines, I love traveling with my family. Exploring new places and creating memories with them is something I deeply value. And, of course, as a lifelong Tennessee Vols fan, you’ll often find me cheering for the Vols across all their sports!
